Kitty Pryde No More.

Maggie Grace was said to play Kitty Pryde in X-MEN 3 for quite a while until the actress debunked the news. SOme speculate that she was indeed cast, but due to her involvement in LOST she couldn't join up.

Who knows...Grace seems to be doing good though. She's starring in the upcoming THE FOG remake, and it looks pretty good, IMO. You can check out the Yahoo! Movies previews page at the link below. They've updated with some neat-o clips.

Maggie's good looking, and would've made a sexy Kitty Pryde, but I'm also happy with the casting of Ellen Page in the role. She seems more like Kitty, than Grace.

Entertainment Weekly called me and they're considering posting a letter I wrote to them re: a Fiona Apple article they wrote, lol. Keep your fingers crossed! I was already published in their magazine responding to their X-MEN 2 Mystique cover...it was really corny it went something like "Yowza! Thanks for making this X-MEN fan happy!" it was really dumb quote, but still cool, lol.

(I listened to the album, and thought it was...interesting. LOL)

This photo to the above right is done by XMF's current layout specialist :-p Lazaro. This guy is amazing and is currently working on a comic that should be a great read!

Um...in terms of X-stuff. I should be getting some photos next week of sets. Have to get the approval for that, so please hang in there *insert photo of cat hanging on to a rope*

I've been out of town for a while now. The things I could say. It's really fun is all i can say but yeah *wonders why he wrote this as people will be clueless* :-p

I will try to update XMF as much as possible. I got my email and a computer is near by, so the XMF updates won't cease. Things might be jumpy for a week or two though.

OT: Fiona Apple's CD EXTRAORDINARY MACHINE comes out soon. Get it, when it does...she's an amazing talent!

OT: I don't know if I want to see SERENITY yet...I didn't love the show, but I still like Joss Whedon's stuff....hmm...

X3 Update Not Posted On XMF: WIZARD magazine has an interview with X3 writer Ralph Winter who talks a bit about the film and spin-off. Here's a smudge of the interview...pick up the issue in comic shops now!

Who are the hardest characters to write?
Prof X, Magneto and Logan. He also states they are starting from scratch with Storm's character (because she was underused and ill defined). Also, he states the dialogue for the Phoenix is hard to write, “You cant writes what’s in the comics. You can’t say those kind of lines on screen. When jean turns into the phoenix, you have to maintain the heightened reality without becoming silly.”

From 20th Century Fox's publicist after my posting of the Omega Red, Gaunlet, and Soldier photos on XMF:

"We really appreciate ardent fans like you! I wish I could say that certain characters are/aren't safe [to post], but we haven't revealed any of them yet. Wolverine looks the same - so that's ok, but even Storm looks different. We plan to do a big reveal of them all at the end of October, and then more images can start making their way out there after that. It's just really important to protect the "first look" of some of these new folks. We don't want fans old and new to be put off if they get anything less than dynamic as their first glimse. That's why we are keeping the photos and cast info so protected for now...." - Fox's Publicist

Wow....with all the news XMF has been getting, we're going way over our bandwidth level!

XMF has undergone such a drastic change recently. Our new layout really moved things forward (thanks Laz!) and now we're getting more hits then ever!

Also, I got a new contact, who is getting some major scoopage. This is only the beginning for XMF in terms of exclusives...only the beginning.

About the OMEGA RED thing. Don't expect him to look like his comic book counterpart. Facially...he's scary, and has shorter hair. I don't know if his eyes will be red, but it might be something they do in post. Oddly enough for being called Omega Red, he doesn't wear the color, but he might not even be called "Omega Red" in the film. Power-wise, it should be there, etc...so the comic fans will know. Also expect the 'Omega' symbol to pop up on some people in the film *wink*

OT: Bjork is such a weird lady, yet I love her music. I suggest everyone go out and get her album MEDULA...weird stuff! Also, Selena Johnson has a new CD out, and it's called CHAPTER 2: THE FLESH...another great album. If you're into r&b stuff, you should like it.

I come back from 11 hours of work *scream* and what do I find in my e-mail? A letter from a 20th Century Fox rep saying that they've got 'things' for me to view. What could these 'things' be? They were so subtle, and yet I'm so x-cited, lol.

This blog only lasted a little bit in the past and I never updated it, but with the new XMF comes the newly updated blog! Stay tuned from future posts.

X-MEN 3: I recently did a report about the Military advisor for X3, and the man himself (Ron Blecker) ended up contacting me personally through e-mail! I e-mailed him back trying to get X3 scoops, but...well, here's what he had to say:

"I will need to get permission from production before conducting any interviews that involve X3. I can freely answer any questions about my work and what I do in general but I'm pretty sure production will put the brakes on anything doing with X3 at this time." - Ron Blecker

OT: My prayers and deepest sympathies goes out to those affected by Hurricane Katrina. XMF has donated some money to the Red Cross organization, and you can do the same. Just visit www.redcross.org and follow the links.

Happy New Years

HAPPY NEW YEARS! The upcoming months in the new year will bring in some MAJOR X3 announcements, I'm hearing. Will they make their Summer 2006 release date? Who knows, but it's nice to know that things are moving along. It seems that if they don't do it Summer '06, then they'll have to wait for Summer 2008. I say that because SPIDER-MAN 3 is set for Summer 2007, and Marvel won't put two of their biggest properties in one Summer.

X3 could go to the Winter, but according to a previous scoop, they wasn't an option for them...they want a Summer spot. We shall see how things wrap up. Only one things for sure...this new year will be interesting for the X-MEN franchise!

I gotta rush out now to see the fireworks, and scream with my family. Once again, Happy New Years!

Annoyed For X3

Right now I'm feeling a bit annoyed and pi$$ed at Bryan Singer. I love him as a director, and love what he's done for the X-Men franchise, but WHY did he leave like that??? If it wasn't for that, then X3 would probally have a script by now, and scouting locations like Bryan Singer's SUPERMAN project is (which is due out Summer 2006).

Even with recent news that the X3 script is picking up, 20th Century Fox has yet to announce a director or any information on what's happening. The fans are left clueless, and I'd like to mouth off saying we'd appreciate more communications between what's going on with the third film.
